Welcome to the 4xhost Knowledgebase

Our Knowledgebase is a detailed, easy-to-follow resource for managing all aspects of your 4xhost hosting. Here, you’ll find guides, tips, and tricks to help you manage your website, hosting, and domains seamlessly.

Logging into cPanel

Once you order hosting from 4xhost, you’ll receive a welcome email with instructions on accessing your control panel once your hosting is activated (typically within minutes of completing your order). If you don’t receive this email, contact us so we can verify your order details.

To access your hosting account, start by logging in at https://members.4xhost.com. After logging in, select Services and then My Services. Here, your hosting packages will be listed; select the one you want to access, and click Login to cPanel on the next page.

Your cPanel login credentials are saved as a secure token instead of a plain username and password. If your login doesn’t work, please reach out so we can assist you in resetting your access.

Email Setup

Once in cPanel, you’ll find icons to help you manage every part of your 4xhost hosting. A great first step is setting up email. Click Email Accounts to create custom email addresses, such as @yourdomain.com.

You can access your email through an email client like Mac Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird, or via webmail by going to https://webmail.[yourdomain.com]. Use the mailbox username and password you set up to log in. If you need assistance setting up your email client, feel free to contact us for guidance.

Installing Applications (e.g., WordPress)

In cPanel, scroll down to Softaculous Apps Installer. Click on the application you want to install, such as WordPress, Magento, PrestaShop, or Joomla, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. After installation, you can log into the app’s admin area and start customizing.

Nameservers

If you purchased a domain with your 4xhost hosting, your nameservers will automatically link to your 4xhost hosting account. If you transferred or registered your domain elsewhere, you’ll need to update the nameservers to:

  • ns1.4xhost.com
  • ns2.4xhost.com
  • ns3.4xhost.com
  • ns4.4xhost.com

After updating, allow up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect globally.
