FFMPEG Support
FFMPEG is installed and available to use on all of our hosting systems. The FFMPEG binary version is provided by our Linux package installer, and unfortunately, it is not possible to change this on our shared hosting systems for standardization purposes; however, this can be modified on our dedicated hosting servers.

How does FFmpeg work?
Once your video-sharing application has been installed, you can upload a video to your site. FFmpeg will convert the video to a video file (which is similar to the type of file you see when streaming from sites like Vevo, Vimeo, YouTube, etc.) on the server. This automatically embeds the video in your web pages, allowing your users to embed your video on their websites or share it through social networking.
FFmpeg can manage the web hosting resources for websites that host multimedia content. However, if you already have a large video-sharing website or are planning on creating a large site, we suggest a Managed Cloud server.
